5 mm Military Bastion HESCO Sand Filled Barriers is a multi-cellular barrier system lined with heavy-duty, non-woven polypropylene geotextile and manufactured from welded Zinc-Aluminium coated steel mesh.
Known as a Military Gabion Barrier Bastion Sand Wall , it consists of collapsible wire mesh frames, lined with heavy duty canvas or other material. The boxes are then filled with dirt or sand , preferably with a front-end loader , to make a barrier resistant to small arms fire and shrapnel.
As the name implies, the military defense barrier was originally mainly used for military, military protection, military fortifications, explosion-proof walls, etc. It is made of foldable welded gabion net and ultraviolet protection heavy geotextile lining. The common surface treatment is hot dip galvanizing before welding, welding after galvanizing and Galfan coating. They all have a long service life. It is widely used in Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa.

Hot galvanized wire
Usually, the materials for welding gabion boxes are hot-dip galvanized wire and Galfan coated wire, which are corrosion resistant, high in strength and long in service life. Wire diameter: 5.0mm (thick enough to withstand impact)
Spring wire for connecting mesh plates
Usually, the spring wire is made of the same wire as the metal panel. It informs the net cage to load sand or stones together with the panel. Spring wire diameter: 4.0 mm
Welded mesh plate
We have a full-automatic machine, which is mainly used for thick-line welding of screen plates, and deep welding points make the screen plates firmer. Mesh: 75mm * 75mm (standard and strong) You can also make bigger holes according to customer's requirements.
Geotextile
It has various colors: sand, brown, gray and military green. Generally, the weight of geotextile is 300 GSM and our geotextile is uniform in thickness, reaching the national standard.

HESCO bastion barrier can be used in separate cell or some cells joined together by joint pins to suit different needs of your projects. Almost any locally filling material can be used such as soil, sand, gravel, crushed rock and various other granular materials.
